Coming Up: Next Heat likely mid-to-late August 2026, Breeding Window by Early September 2026, Pregnancy confirmation Early October 2026, anticipated Litter arrival Early November 2026, with Puppies ready on or about New Years Day 2027.
January 2, 2026: Happy New Year!
We appreciate your patience during our hiatus, we received numerous puppy inquires around Christmas, we are equally as disappointed as puppy seekers, we really wanted a litter this winter.
Ginni’s weight loss boot camp will begin by the end of this month. Her diet had been restricted just prior to the weight gain, so we are focusing on exercise, as we don’t want to restrict calories further which could deprive her of essential nutrients needed for proper reproductive function.
She is carrying the excess weight well, still just as gorgeous as ever, but because she is so compact just a few pounds make a big difference medically.
I will add a recent photo to her gallery.
December 22, 2025: Ginni came into season, this time only one month earlier than her usual.
Unfortunately, she has not yet lost enough weight to pass the pre-breeding exam, although in every other examination category she is the epitome of breeding soundness.
October 17, 2025: Vet called with results, Ginni's thyroid testing was entirely normal, she doesn't have acquired hypothyroidism nor genetic hypothyroidism. But she still has 6 excess pounds to lose before she can be safely bred and c-sectioned.
October 15, 2025: Ginni had her annual physical today.
As always, Heartworm/Lyme/Ehrlichia/Anaplasma/Fecal were all Negative. Ginni was positive for a glorious coat and adorableness. Ginni received annual boosters for rabies, distemper, adenovirus types 1 & 2, parvovirus, parainfluenza, coronavirus, and kennel cough.
Disturbingly, Ginni had gained 6 pounds. I requested thyroid labs.
May 2, 2025: Ginni came into season early (2 months earlier than her usual) regrettably the breeding window coincided with human hospitalizations, so we had to skip this breeding.
November 20, 2024: Ultrasound confirmed Ginni was not pregnant. But her uterus and kidneys were fabulous.
October 18, 2024: Ginni arrived for her surgical insemination, unfortunately shipping at higher than typical altitude for 8am delivery had caused the specimen to deteriorate. Unable to proceed with surgery, her vet performed a vaginal insemination. Stud owner shipped overnight again for Saturday morning delivery, unfortunately the carrier didn't deliver until Monday 11am, I performed the second vaginal insemination, this was one day too late.
October 3, 2024: Ginni is in season! Breeding is planned! Will update once mating has been completed. Ginni is excited! She's came-in rump shaking.
September 18, 2024: Ginni had her annual physical today. Heartworm/Lyme/Ehrlichia/Anaplasma/Fecal were all Negative. Ginni was positive for a glorious coat and adorableness. Ginni received annual boosters for rabies, distemper, adenovirus types 1 & 2, parvovirus, parainfluenza, coronavirus, and kennel cough.
February 17, 2024: Happy belated Valentine's Day everyone! Ginni has finally came into season, however we have regrettably informed the waitlist that we will be skipping this heat due to our own personal human reasons. We intend to breed on the very next heat.
January 05, 2024: Happy New Year everyone! Ginni is taking her time coming into season, and we wait patiently for nature to take it's course, never attempting to manipulate the process by any means. We appreciate the patience of our waitlisters, and we will update everyone when Ginni's heat begins.
August 10, 2023: Ginni gave birth via caesarean to "Barbie" & "Ken" and I love these baby bulldogs dearly. Both were merle and both were reserved at the time of their birth.
July 19, 2023: Pregnancy Confirmation!! We are thrilled to announce that we officially have a litter on the way! Ultrasound revealed 3-5 puppies, it is possible there could be more, as ultrasounds are not always accurate on count. Ginni's doctor said the puppies that were seen are of equal size and that her womb, other organs viewed, and the pregnancy were healthy.
Puppies are expected by August 10, 2023, and the "Go Home Day" is approximately on or after October 5, 2023.
June 13, 2023: Breeding Complete! TT drove Ginni to Morrison, IL for her Surgical Artificial Insemination. Ginni traveled well and the procedure went perfectly, no cysts, no infection, and no fluid observed. Ginni was given an antibiotic prophylactically. Ginni met her mate prior to her insemination and she was smitten. Analysis of his fresh semen revealed a sperm count of 1.9 Billion with 100% motility. Pregnancy will be confirmed by ultrasound in about 30 days.
June 2, 2023: Ginni has began progesterone testing in preparation of her upcoming breeding.
May 28, 2023: Ginni has officially came into season. This is Ginni's 3rd heat cycle, and she will be bred soon. Ginni is now fully mature at over 2 years of age, so we expect her to tolerate pregnancy well.
May 2, 2023: Pending individual state approval, the first and only Canine Parvovirus Treatment manufactured by Elanco, will be available to veterinarians. This treatment is a targeted single-dose monoclonal antibody injection. This is amazing news, we are so happy about this innovative treatment and the progress being made in canine health.

Next Litter anticipated to be ready on or about New Years Day 2027
We will resume adding families to the waitlist after pregnancy is confirmed, approximately early October 2026.
